Marco was my professor for a semester at Bard College. He was an engaging, effervescent presence and offered my dear friend so much comfort as she coped with the death of a loved one gone too young just as we studied the philosophy of death. It has been years since then, but I hope this message brings his loved ones comfort that his presence is still felt, years later, by someone who knew him so temporarily. Marco Dees was a wonderful educator and human with a wicked sense of humor. I am proud to have known him in the short time we shared.
